Dr Anthony Chow MD FRCP

Dr Chow is Consultant Cardiologist with special interest in electrophysiology to the Heart Hospital, UCLH Hospitals NHS Trust, London and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at UCL. He is also Visiting Consultant Cardiologist to the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust. Dr Chow has previously worked at St. Mary’s Hospital, London, Hemel Hempstead General Hospital, Luton and Dunstable Hospital and Royal Free Hospital.

Apart from General Cardiology, Dr Chow is an expert in cardiac arrhythmias, implantable devices and other interventional procedures.

Dr Chow has made significant contribution to medical research, particularly in the field of pacing and electrophysiology. He is currently committed to develop a leadless pacemaker system and a contoured flutter catheter.

Dr Chow has contributed to a number of textbooks and published extensively in both basic research and clinical applications of electrophysicology. His research work covers a wide range particularly in electrophysiology, cardiac arrhythmias and ablation, pacing and resynchronisation therapy in heart
failure. In 2007, he was voted as one of the 1000 most influential people in London and the world leader in electrophysiology.
